United Arab Emirates trip cost guide

How much does a trip to Abu Dhabi cost?

Compare AUH transfers and downtown, Yas or Saadiyat hotels. Separate Louvre Abu Dhabi, theme-park tickets and inter-island journeys.

Lodging-only examples for 3, 5, 7 nights

Planning estimates for two travelers sharing one room, lodging only. They are not live quotes and not a total trip budget: flights, food, transfers, local transport, activities and fees are excluded. A price you enter in the calculator always replaces these estimates. Totals are calculated from the nightly rate and rounded to whole euros.

Arriving in Abu Dhabi

Zayed International Airport (AUH) is the arrival gateway to use in your transfer plan. Choose your destination first: downtown Abu Dhabi, Yas Island and Saadiyat Island are distinct hotel areas. Official tourism guidance describes buses, taxis and visitor shuttles, but the useful comparison is the complete trip to your accommodation and whether the selected service stops where you need it.

Airport transfers are a separate budget line. Where a reliable fare is not available, Fareveal shows it as unknown rather than zero.

Getting around Abu Dhabi

Abu Dhabi's attractions are spread across different districts and islands. Use the official DARB journey information when comparing buses with taxis, and verify visitor-shuttle routes against your actual stops. A hotel advertised as being in Abu Dhabi does not establish convenient access to every attraction. Organise days around one area rather than repeatedly moving between downtown, Yas and Saadiyat.

A budget trade-off

Yas Island suits a trip centred on theme parks and entertainment; Saadiyat prioritises a cultural district and resort setting; a downtown base supports a different city programme. Compare accommodation together with your planned journeys and tickets. Trying to collect every headline attraction during a short stay can increase both transport spending and the time lost between experiences.

Attractions and discretionary spending

Louvre Abu Dhabi belongs to a deliberate Saadiyat programme, while Yas attractions require their own admission choices. Decide which experiences genuinely fit your party before buying bundles or arranging transfers. The airport's visitor information also highlights heritage and cultural options; use each attraction's operator to check ticket scope rather than assuming all Abu Dhabi cultural sites are covered together.

Two ways this budget can change

  • An art-focused stay can prioritise Saadiyat and Louvre Abu Dhabi, with selected downtown outings rather than a daily island circuit.
  • A family entertainment trip can prioritise Yas accommodation and chosen park tickets, adding a separate cultural day only if the schedule allows.

Fees and easy-to-miss costs

Fareveal does not yet publish a verified local-fee amount for Abu Dhabi. Confirm any mandatory charges on your booking before treating a total as final. Entry and visa rules depend on each traveler.

Worth checking

  • Use AUH and name the island or downtown hotel district.
  • Check DARB routes and the exact visitor-shuttle stops.
  • Compare the accommodation location with your main attraction.
  • Verify whether bundles include the experiences your party wants.
  • Keep inter-island journeys and airport transfers as separate entries.
