How much does a trip to Agra cost?

Taj Mahal ticket eligibility depends on the official visitor category and supporting documents. Main-mausoleum access is a separate admission choice; no universal ticket price is implied.
Arriving in Agra
Agra can be a dedicated stay or an intercity stop within a Delhi–Jaipur itinerary. If your flight uses Agra Airport (AGR), confirm the actual service on the airline booking; do not assume that a Delhi arrival ends in Agra. For a train journey, use the booked Agra station and add the onward hotel transfer. A road tour should identify pickup, luggage arrangements and the final destination rather than only advertising a Taj Mahal visit.
Airport transfers are a separate budget line. Where a reliable fare is not available, Fareveal shows it as unknown rather than zero.
Getting around Agra
The Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and the river-view area are separate stops, even if a tour groups them into one product. Choose whether to use a driver between sites or build a more selective plan around your hotel. Ask where the vehicle can drop you and how the final approach is handled. A station transfer is not automatically covered by a sightseeing vehicle unless the booking explicitly says so.
A budget trade-off
A night in Agra gives the monument visit more space and removes the need to return to Delhi immediately after sightseeing. A day trip can avoid another hotel booking, but replaces that saving with intercity travel and a tighter programme. Accommodation around Taj Ganj should be assessed by its actual entrance access and pickup point. Compare the complete itinerary, including luggage storage and departure connection, rather than the room or train ticket in isolation.
Attractions and discretionary spending
Taj Mahal admission categories distinguish foreign visitors, SAARC/BIMSTEC citizens and domestic/Indian/OCI visitors in the official guidance. Access to the main mausoleum is an additional ticket decision rather than an assumption attached to every entry. Verify the category, documents, visit date and desired access on the official booking path. Agra Fort is a separate monument; a guide’s fee and a transport booking should not be assumed to include either admission.
