Serbia trip cost guide
How much does a trip to Belgrade cost?
Match BEG transport endpoints to your stay. Plan Belgrade Fortress, Zemun and Skadarlija outings, including the return from evening venues.
Lodging-only examples for 3, 5, 7 nights
Planning estimates for two travelers sharing one room, lodging only. They are not live quotes and not a total trip budget: flights, food, transfers, local transport, activities and fees are excluded. A price you enter in the calculator always replaces these estimates. Totals are calculated from the nightly rate and rounded to whole euros.
| Travel style | Per night | 3 nights | 5 nights | 7 nights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Budget | €65 | €195 | €325 | €455 |
| Normal | €100 | €300 | €500 | €700 |
| Comfort | €165 | €495 | €825 | €1,155 |
| Luxury | €300 | €900 | €1,500 | €2,100 |
Arriving in Belgrade
Belgrade Nikola Tesla Airport (BEG) lists several public-transport routes with different city endpoints, including the central railway station, Zeleni Venac and Slavija-area connections. Choose the endpoint that works for your hotel rather than taking an airport service merely because it reaches Belgrade. A direct vehicle can reduce changes for luggage, but use a confirmed pickup and address. Check current airport notices before relying on a road connection.
Airport transfers are a separate budget line. Where a reliable fare is not available, Fareveal shows it as unknown rather than zero.
Getting around Belgrade
Central sightseeing can be organised around Knez Mihailova, the fortress and nearby neighbourhoods. Other visits in Zemun or around Saint Sava require a separate route plan. Belgrade’s city authority describes bus, tram, trolleybus and railway transport; consult the current service rather than guessing from a map. Evening plans should include a workable return to the accommodation, particularly when nightlife is in a different district from the main walking programme.
A budget trade-off
A central hotel suits the fortress and restaurant areas, while a stay in Zemun or New Belgrade puts the trip in another setting. Compare the actual daily journeys with the accommodation choice instead of assuming the city name implies a compact route. Nightlife spending should reflect the venues and evenings you choose. A room away from the evening programme may also create transport needs that do not appear in a sightseeing-only estimate.
Attractions and discretionary spending
Belgrade Fortress and the surrounding park create a clear heritage cluster, while Skadarlija offers a distinct street and restaurant setting. Museum interiors and guided visits are separate choices, not automatically included in a neighbourhood walk. A Zemun outing adds another part of the city to explore; decide whether it complements the central programme or replaces a museum day. Compare tours by their exact sites and admission inclusions rather than the number of landmarks advertised.

Two ways this budget can change
- Central history weekend: base the route around the fortress, Knez Mihailova and selected museum visits, choosing accommodation for the evening return.
- Neighbourhood and nightlife stay: pick a base around the areas you expect to use and count each journey between the centre, Zemun and evening venues.
Fees and easy-to-miss costs
Fareveal does not yet publish a verified local-fee amount for Belgrade. Confirm any mandatory charges on your booking before treating a total as final. Entry and visa rules depend on each traveler.
Worth checking
- Check BEG transport endpoints against the hotel address.
- Read current airport road-access notices.
- Group fortress and central-street visits together.
