Croatia trip cost guide
How much does a trip to Dubrovnik cost?
Match DBV shuttle stops to Old Town, Lapad or Gruž accommodation. Plan the city walls, luggage access and separately booked boat excursions.
Lodging-only examples for 3, 5, 7 nights
Planning estimates for two travelers sharing one room, lodging only. They are not live quotes and not a total trip budget: flights, food, transfers, local transport, activities and fees are excluded. A price you enter in the calculator always replaces these estimates. Totals are calculated from the nightly rate and rounded to whole euros.
| Travel style | Per night | 3 nights | 5 nights | 7 nights |

| Budget | €65 | €195 | €325 | €455 |
| Normal | €100 | €300 | €500 | €700 |

Arriving in Dubrovnik
Dubrovnik Airport (DBV), at Čilipi, requires a transfer into the city. The airport-shuttle operator publishes a route serving a stop near the old town and the main bus station in Gruž. Match the current stop to the accommodation entrance rather than assuming a bus reaches every apartment. A property inside the old town may require a final walk with luggage; one in Lapad has a different onward connection.
Airport transfers are a separate budget line. Where a reliable fare is not available, Fareveal shows it as unknown rather than zero.
Getting around Dubrovnik
The old-town programme can be built around walking, but accommodation in Lapad or Gruž adds transport into that programme. Identify the actual pickup point for tours and excursions before booking. A shuttle to Gruž, a local city journey and a boat departure are separate services even if they appear in one day. For luggage-heavy travel, compare the number of changes with a direct transfer to the nearest accessible drop-off.
A budget trade-off
An old-town stay values atmosphere and immediate access to heritage streets; a Lapad base changes the balance towards the wider city and coast. Compare access, steps and the journey to your chosen visits alongside the room quote. Adding a cruise or an island excursion reduces the time available for the walls and museums, so avoid paying for a broad visitor product without testing whether its inclusions fit the actual schedule.
Attractions and discretionary spending
The city walls are a substantial heritage visit in their own right, not simply an extra stretch of the old-town walk. The heritage operator publishes visitor information for the walls and associated sites. Check the current scope of any pass against the museums and fortifications you wish to enter. Keep cable-car, boat and guided-tour products separate unless the provider explicitly includes them; neighbouring views do not imply shared admission.

Two ways this budget can change
- Old-town heritage stay: choose accommodation for its walking access and make the walls and selected interiors the main paid experiences.
- Lapad coastal base: compare daily old-town journeys and a chosen boat outing with the convenience of sleeping inside the historic centre.
Fees and easy-to-miss costs
Fareveal does not yet publish a verified local-fee amount for Dubrovnik. Confirm any mandatory charges on your booking before treating a total as final. Entry and visa rules depend on each traveler.
Worth checking
- Confirm DBV and the shuttle’s current city stops.
- Check steps and the final approach to the apartment.
- Separate Gruž transport from a ferry or boat ticket.
- Compare wall and pass inclusions with the chosen itinerary.
- Confirm each excursion’s actual pickup point.
