United States trip cost guide

How much does a trip to Miami cost?

Plan MIA arrival and the last leg to Brickell or Miami Beach, then compare neighbourhood travel, hotel inclusions and optional boat or Everglades outings.

Lodging-only examples for 3, 5, 7 nights

Planning estimates for two travelers sharing one room, lodging only. They are not live quotes and not a total trip budget: flights, food, transfers, local transport, activities and fees are excluded. A price you enter in the calculator always replaces these estimates. Totals are calculated from the nightly rate and rounded to whole euros.

Arriving in Miami

Miami International Airport (MIA) has Metrorail access, but Miami Beach is a separate destination from Downtown or Brickell. The current county page also distinguishes airport rail service patterns, including an Earlington Heights change at weekends. Use the planner for your arrival day and include the final hotel leg. A rail journey into Miami should never be presented as a direct train to a South Beach hotel.

Airport transfers are a separate budget line. Where a reliable fare is not available, Fareveal shows it as unknown rather than zero.

Getting around Miami

Choose daily clusters around Downtown and Brickell, Wynwood, Little Havana or Miami Beach rather than moving between all of them repeatedly. Metrorail, local buses and the Downtown Metromover serve different needs. A hotel close to the activities you will repeat can matter more than proximity to a single landmark. Plan causeway travel to the beach as an actual journey, especially when an evening meal or event fixes the return time.

A budget trade-off

A mainland stay suits a trip with museums, neighbourhood dining and urban transit; a beach stay puts the coast nearer but changes airport and mainland transfers. Compare the whole pattern of travel before deciding that one district is cheaper. If a resort or apartment quote has separate parking or service terms, include those from the reservation. Do not assign a beach-hotel budget to an inland address just because both say Miami.

Attractions and discretionary spending

Choose between ticketed museums, boat experiences and food tours rather than adding all of them as daily obligations. A Wynwood exploring session and a Little Havana meal can be arranged around a selected guided activity; confirm its meeting point before booking. An Everglades excursion belongs in a separate day-trip line with transport and inclusions, not in routine Miami mobility. Keep beach time flexible around the experiences you have actually reserved.

Two ways this budget can change

  • Mainland city break: stay around Downtown or Brickell, plan the airport rail connection for the arrival day and allocate distinct visits to Wynwood and Little Havana. Price a Miami Beach outing as a real onward journey.
  • Beach-led stay: choose a Miami Beach address, compare the airport transfer to that exact location and group mainland visits on a dedicated day. Keep optional boat or Everglades experiences separate from the hotel's quoted package.

Fees and easy-to-miss costs

Fareveal does not yet publish a verified local-fee amount for Miami. Confirm any mandatory charges on your booking before treating a total as final. Entry and visa rules depend on each traveler.

Worth checking

  • Weekend rail connection
  • Mainland versus Miami Beach address
  • Causeway return journey
