Cambodia trip cost guide
How much does a trip to Siem Reap cost?
Use current SAI airport guidance, compare temple circuits and separate Angkor passes, guides, drivers and wider Siem Reap excursions.
Lodging-only examples for 3, 5, 7 nights
Planning estimates for two travelers sharing one room, lodging only. They are not live quotes and not a total trip budget: flights, food, transfers, local transport, activities and fees are excluded. A price you enter in the calculator always replaces these estimates. Totals are calculated from the nightly rate and rounded to whole euros.
| Travel style | Per night | 3 nights | 5 nights | 7 nights |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| Budget | €65 | €195 | €325 | €455 |
| Normal | €100 | €300 | €500 | €700 |
| Comfort | €165 | €495 | €825 | €1,155 |
| Luxury | €300 | €900 | €1,500 | €2,100 |
Arriving in Siem Reap
Use Siem Reap–Angkor International Airport (SAI) for the current arrival plan, checking the code on your booking. Older official-looking pages still describe the former airport close to town and should not establish your transfer assumptions. Arrange the journey from the current gateway to your accommodation with a clear pickup point, luggage provision and return plan.
Airport transfers are a separate budget line. Where a reliable fare is not available, Fareveal shows it as unknown rather than zero.
Getting around Siem Reap
Siem Reap town and Angkor's temple programme are distinct transport decisions. Choose a driver or tour according to the temple circuit you actually want, including pickup, breaks and the return journey. A town accommodation location does not remove the need to travel between archaeological sites, and a guide, transport service and Angkor admission are separate items unless explicitly bundled.
A budget trade-off
A town-focused base can support restaurants and evenings, while another property may prioritise a quieter setting or a particular tour pickup. Decide how much of the stay belongs to temple exploration before comparing accommodation. A shorter circuit with meaningful time at each site can be preferable to a long list of stops; compare itinerary quality instead of simply the number of named temples.
Attractions and discretionary spending
Use Angkor Enterprise for the appropriate admission product and APSARA's visitor guidance for respectful conduct in the archaeological park. The provincial tourism material also identifies experiences beyond the temples, which can give a longer stay variety. Confirm any countryside or nature outing separately rather than assuming an Angkor pass covers every attraction in the wider Siem Reap region.
Official sources
Two ways this budget can change
- A temple-led stay can choose a suitable base and compare a clear Angkor circuit, with admission, guide and driver responsibilities stated separately.
- A broader Siem Reap trip can combine deliberate temple days with town or provincial experiences, checking each outing's transport and access independently.
Fees and easy-to-miss costs
Fareveal does not yet publish a verified local-fee amount for Siem Reap. Confirm any mandatory charges on your booking before treating a total as final. Entry and visa rules depend on each traveler.
Worth checking
- Use SAI and reject former-airport distance or transfer guidance.
- Confirm airport pickup, luggage capacity and return arrangements.
- Choose the exact Angkor admission product needed.
- Distinguish guide, driver and temple admission in bookings.
- Read APSARA's visitor conduct guidance before entering sites.
